Job Description:
Industrial Waste Control Limited, a service-oriented company dealing with environmental monitoring and wastewater treatment for compliance with Municipal Sewer Use By-laws is looking for an Environmental Field Technician
Primary duties relate to water & wastewater sampling from industrial facilities to ensure compliance with discharge criteria; provide customer support regarding wastewater treatment systems and various environmental projects.
Travel thorough out the GTA and Southern Ontario is required.
Qualifications:
– Degree or diploma from a recognized university/college in a related field.
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to maintain daily reports, laboratory submissions and analytical reports.
– Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes and wastewater treatment systems.
– Knowledge of municipal sewer systems and sewage treatment process.
– Knowledge of Municipal Sewer Use By-laws and Provincial Legislation relating to the Environment.
– Knowledge of environmental sampling techniques and analytical test methods.
– Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office; Access, Word & Excel.
– The ability to work independently.
– Highly motivated.
– Ability to find innovative solutions for problems encounter in the field.
– Class G drivers license, a drivers abstract will be required.
– Previous related work experience an asset.
– Fall arrest training an asset.
– Strong Health and Safety knowledge.
– Must be able to lift 30 Kg.
