MANUFACTURING ENGINEER / ENGINEERING ASSOCIATE
Position Duties:
* Provide Technical support for manufacturing of high voltage (up to 20 kV) electronic power supply assemblies including all aspects of quality, process, methods, and test yield improvements.
* Coordinate the manufacturing areas and related dedicated facilities for potting and coating of high voltage assemblies and organize for safety and maximum efficiency.
* Participate with Development Engineering regarding new products to ensure manufacturability and quality during New Product Introductions.
* Develop and maintain assembly and process documentation.
* Work with production personnel to solve problems.
* Recommend changes in product and fixture designs for DFM and cost reductions.
* Coordinate with product line Manufacturing and Design Engineering to implement corrective actions to eliminate factory and field failures.
Essential Qualifications:
* Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree or College Graduate (3year Electrical or Mechanical or Chemical or Manufacturing Technologist Program) or equivalent.
* Minimum 3-5 years experience in Power Electronics Manufacturing, Electrical Insulating or Encapsulating manufacturing or related products.
* Knowledge or keen interest in developing a working knowledge of materials, products, chemical processes and methods relevant to potting & coating of high voltage electrical assemblies.
* High Voltage experience an asset.
* Mechanical Aptitude an asset.
* Interest in working “hands-on” an asset.
