Our Client Engen
Rwanda Ltd is a petroleum dealing company and is seeking to recruit an
energetic, result oriented and a self driven person to fill the position below;
Job Objective:
To manage the
finance department of Engen Petroleum Rwanda in order to provide all financial
and accounting services to the company and ensure compliance to legal and
professional requirements to minimize the organization’s exposure to financial
risk.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Financial
reporting to ensure accurate and timely monthly management reports. - Preparation
of statutory monthly financial statements. - Responsible
for the management of the capex, credit managed within policy, sales
pricing structure & system settings. - Ensure
accurate and complete regulatory and tax reporting and timely delivery to
the relevant authorities. - Financial
analysis through working capital management and ensure financial
information and insights to support the capital management process. - Offer
accounting and financial management support to the support functions of
the business. - Setting
up and managing financial and business controls. - Monitor
capital investment and projects for the business. - Develop
and maintain a financial strategy for the business with focus on
governance and compliance. - Ensure
appropriate administration and accounting processes are in place. - Preparation
of budgeting and financial forecasting. - Manage
and control foreign exchange losses. - Manage
and supervise a team of accountants in meeting their tasks.
Qualification and
Skills:
- Master’s
degree in Accountancy & Financial Management or Master’s degree in
business with ACCA certification as an advantage. - Minimum
5 years’ experience with at least 3 of the 5 years as a manager ideally in
the petrochemical industry. - Proficiency
with a standard accounting software/SAP experience will be advantageous - Strong
leadership, management experience with strategic planning, decision
making, people management, presentation, interpersonal, analytical and
organizational skills. - Ability
to deal with complex and technical problems working under pressure and
meet tight deadlines. - Extensive
business knowledge with working knowledge of IT systems and packages. - Sound
understanding of relevant international reporting standards in relation to
the role. - Outstanding
written and verbal communications skills in English, French and
Kinyarwanda. - Proficiency
in Microsoft Office packages. - Experience
in managing teams in achieving and exceeding stated objectives.
