The Embassy of the
United States of America in Kigali is recruiting for the position of Telephone
Technician in the Information
Management Section. The position is available to
start immediately.
DUTIES
trainee level position is established one grade below the full performance
level of the position to provide the Incumbent one year experience as Telephone
Technician. Upon successful completion of a year as the Embassy Telephone
Technician, the employee will be eligible for promotion to the full performance
level of the position (FSN-8).
the general supervision of the IMO, the incumbent of this position is
responsible for the installation and repair of telephone systems and
instruments in U.S. Government Offices and official residences.

REQUIREMENTS:
applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific

secondary school is required.
as Telephone Technician is required.
is required. Level IV (fluent) in French and Kinyarwanda is required.
journeyman level of teletype equipment repair trade knowledge, including the
ability to read blueprints, engineering specifications and wiring diagrams.
operate teletype equipment of all types.
