EJ Kids Care provides before and
after school childcare and vacation care services to primary school age
children (5 – 12 years) and is based in Clayfield, Brisbane.
The Centre is managed by the Eagle Junction State School Parents and Citizens
Association and licensed for 140 places.

Opportunities exist for
energetic, motivated Educators to join our team. You will be responsible
for providing support to the Nominated Supervisor in the development and
implementation of a fun, safe and stimulating program for the children attending
our service.

with school aged children, this is an excellent opportunity to join a

bring ideas and assist in developing a unique program. Salary will be per
the Parents and Citizens Associations Award – State 2016 and based on
qualifications.
RESPONSIBILIES:
- Assist the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader
with the planning and preparation of interesting, educational and fun
activities for the children at the centre - Assist the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader
in the program documentation and/or observations - Active involvement with children in activities as
directed by the Nominated Supervisor - Maintain a clean and safe environment before, during and
after the completion of the daily program - Actively participate in the service’s Continuous
Improvement processes including self-assessment against the National
Quality Standards and review of the service Quality Improvement Plan - Develop positive and respectful relationships with the
children and families at the centre - Encourage children to develop independence and
responsibility and promote the inclusive practices of the centre
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- The Educator shall hold a minimum of Certificate III in
Early Childhood studies or other qualifications acceptable to the
regulatory agency - Have knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the
ability to program for children according to “My Time Our Place” - Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to use initiative in the workplace and
demonstrate problem solving skills - Effective time management and organisational skills
- Queensland Blue card (paid/for employment) or
willingness to obtain - Senior First aid and CPR certification and Anaphylaxis
certificates or willingness to obtain
HOURS:
Casual
based on the needs of the centre and may involve split shifts. The
Centre’s operating hours are :
- Monday – Friday : 7:00 – 8:45 am and 2:45 – 6:00
pm - School Holiday Vacation
Care : 7:00 am – 6:00pm
