Job
Summary:
The
Senior Director of Achievement will support student achievement by providing
direct support to head teachers and teachers of EdisonLearning schools across
Ghana. They provide pre-service and ongoing training to staff at both city wide
conferences and at school sites. A Senior Director of Achievement works closely
with campus staff and assists in monitoring the implementation of core programs
in classrooms. They develop materials and establish protocols that support
their work.
Principal
Responsibilities:
  • Work
    onsite with local leads (DoAs, Head Teachers) in the school teams to build
    expertise and knowledge of the five strand design, the Edison Learning
    Framework for Learning and Teaching and to share best practice and support
    implementation by these local teams.
  • Provide
    onsite professional development
  • Ensure
    that the Edison Learning educational practices are informed by research
    and implemented at the campus level.  Support the review and analysis
    of the impact of our approaches.
  • Supervise
    DoAs to ensure that the suite of approaches and resources work
    holistically to underpin our coherent and connected models of school
    transformation and student development.
  • Make
    a contribution to the planning and operation of the annual EdisonLearning
    Leadership Development Academy program in the US and plan for the Ghana
    ELDA, liaising with campus team as needed.
  • Support
    the Chief Academic Officer in developing and implementing innovative and
    cost effective ways of providing professional development school based
    staff.
  • Liaise
    with leads across the company globally to share resources, approaches and
    best practice to maximize the benefits of our system and scale in
    achieving great outcomes for students efficiently and cost effectively.
  • Provide
    support to field curriculum specialists to ensure we are meeting quality
    standards at all schools.
  • Sr.DoA
    will provide professional leadership for the DoAs working in the field
    teams;
  • Sr.DoA
    will ensure consistency of tools and approach in their schools of
    responsibility
