This medium sized company in a niche industry, have a
requirement for a senior systems / network engineer to perform an all
encompassing infrastructure engineer /internal consultant position. This role
will suite a highly capable engineer with a proactive and dedicated work ethic.

Responsibilities for this role will be varied and will
include everything from BAU Wintel server support, project based infrastructure
upgrades and instillations, DR, Design and Installation of enterprise LAN and
WAN environments

ou will be required to
have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to establish positive
relationships with internal staff and senior stakeholders.

Scope of Role :

System security
Redundancy planning
Scalability planning
Maintenance planning, execution and monitoring
Disaster recovery plans and testing
Monitoring/identification of trends in usage,
traffic, storage
Management and monitoring of new system rollouts
Manage Infrastructure and IT support team
Act as third level IT specialist, deliver
solutions to complex technical issues
Design, planning infrastructure, networks
Managing compliance in accordance to IT Support
processes, escalating non-compliant issues
Project managing projects on time / within budget
for transition of technology solutions
Design / implementation of storage, storage
management tools and backup infrastructure in line with IT strategy
Managing of DR environment so that all systems
are replicated

Experience Required

5+ years experience design & implementation
of enterprise scale LAN and WAN environments.
Technical knowledge of security products such as
CISCO, Checkpoint, Juniper firewalls
In depth experience dealing with Netapp storage
technologies.
Detailed Technical knowledge of networks in a
distributed environment, Lan/Wan/Man
Excellent understanding of performance tuning
& infrastructure architecture is a must
Experience working in a SME working on all
aspects of solution design, from evaluation through to implementation
& operation
