We seek
a motivated, energetic, team player to join our team in Brisbane as a Team
Leader – Infrastructure (Structures). This role reports directly to senior
management, so your influence and leadership in the business will make a direct
impact.
The role:
This role is suited
to a lead level engineer with proven experience managing teams and
delivering on major infrastructure projects across the transport industry. The
candidate must have a strong background in the design of bridge structures.
You will develop and
lead the Infrastructure – Structures team to identify, win and deliver
projects to a consistently high standard of timeliness / quality and in line
with the business plan and reputation.
With a minimum
of 12 year’s commercial experience in transport
infrastructure design and project management, you will provide
competent technical management, team management and business development (e.g.
industry profiling activities; sourcing new clients; repeat work from existing
clients) skills to expand the Infrastructure team capability nationally
and source business opportunities to support the ongoing activities of a
leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. You will have extensive
design experience and be CPEng and RPEQ. With a track record of
achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an
engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted
relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable
applicants will have/be:
- A
minimum of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering or similar); - Experience
in business management and project management, and business
development; - Demonstrated
ability to successfully undertake, manage and deliver project within
within budget and timelines, and with the commercial interest of the
company duly managed; - Possess
project management and hands-on experience, encompassing administrative,
commercial and technical aspects. - Possess
bridge design experience; - Extensive
commercial experience and knowledge of the QLD and NSW market space; - Experience
in the co-ordination, design and delivery of roads and highways projects
within multi-disciplinary engineering projects; - the
ability to submit technical reports of a standard requiring minimal
correction; and provide final review of reports; - Additional
past exposure to the maritime and resources sectors would be of benefit,
however is not a compulsory requirement. - Able to
undertake some travel (domestic or international).
