Position Description:
The role is responsible for providing IT support to end users and the management
and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and IT services environment.
Additionally the role ensures that users receive appropriate IT assistance in a
timely manner. The role also ensures communication to users and provides for a
single point of contact between the business and other IT functions, suppliers,
contractors and service providers. Support of back office IT duties will also
be executed by this role.
General Accountabilities:
User Support and feedback through good communication
Infrastructure support – Network, connectivity, hardware, PCs, Servers, IT
equipment
IT Applications 1st level support
IT contractor, supplier, and service provider engagement and management
Service Desk management and back office IT Admin
IT Procurement management
Specific Skills/Experience required for role
Strong IT – Technical Analytical and problem solving Skills (e.g. Microsoft
Windows Server 2003/2008,Windows XP/Vista/7, Citrix, NetBackup, VMware, HP
Operations for Windows) with 2-3 years experience
Strong knowledge and experience in supporting IT Hardware, connectivity and
communication, and software.
