Design Edge designs and develops consumer, business, sporting and electrical
products for Australian and International clients.
What the role is
Design Edge has a full-time position for an Industrial Designer with preferably
more than 2 years commercial experience to work in our collaborative
environment. The person we are seeking should have research skills, creative
thinking, concept idea development ability and excellent presentation skills
backed up by technical proficiency to assist bringing products through into
production.
Who we are looking for
We need a highly motivated individual who is passionate about design and
preferably has experience covering:
• research and understanding of client and user needs
• product concept development
• concept sketching and presentations
• a high sense of product aesthetics
• engineering / manufacturing detailing
• preparation of manufacturing specifications
• checking off-tool samples and preparing reports
• experience with 3D modeling software, preferably SolidEdge
• project and time management
• excellent team and communication skills
Applicants must have relevant industrial design qualifications.
Salary commensurate with ability and experience.
