Melbourne - Work flexibility | Hourly rate reflective of

temporary Senior Transport Engineer/Planner to join a growing Traffic &
Transport Team located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Located
within close proximity to public transport and within a short drive from the
heart of Melbourne this opportunity is to commence in the new financial year
and will run for a period of 12 months.
This new role will see the successful candidate be tasked with playing a
pivotal role in providing an efficient and effective delivery of council’s
transport network planning, in relation to both advocacy and delivery.
The role will prepare transport planning responses to Land Use Pla
nning
Strategies and council’s Forward Capital Works Program.
Requirements include:
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and/or relevant experience
• Strong strategic transport planning background as well as the ability to
develop local government Parking Strategies
• Background in transport research and the ability to interpret findings
• Strong report writing background as well as good consultation skills
Candidates who have gained State or Local Government experience will be looked
upon favourably but those coming from a consultancy background are still
encouraged to apply.
