ent requirement for an interim Asset Planning Team Leader. 
Reporting to the Manager of Engineering Services you will be tasked with
leading, coordinating and mentoring a team of two engineers whilst assisting in
the development of strategic plans to ensure that Council’s investment in
infrastructure is well planned and in line with community needs and life cycle
asset management best practices.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a proven track record within asset
management coupled with extensive exposure as a senior member of staff within
local government.  During the course of this contract your primary remit
will be to compile and present council with marketing material that clearly
states the departments intentions for the financial year in relation to
council’s Infrastructure Asset Management Plans.  This document will be
presented to a range of stakeholders both internally and externally, thus the
ability to interpret and present information in a non-technical manner is
essential. 

Additional duties may include but not limited to:  
• Provide technical advice and assistance to the public and council departments
on matters associated with council’s infrastructure and assets including:
o    Drainage tappings
o    Legal point of discharge
o    Road openings
o    Vehicle crossings
o    Drainage standards and guidelines
• Provision of drainage related engineering advice for planning and development
proposals e.g. detention storage requirements
