Geospatial
Technician
To
maintain optimum mobility, whist denying it of the enemy, the Royal Australian
Engineer Corps builds bridges, creates field defences, constructs and repairs
roads and airfields and conducts demolitions.
In
the varied and challenging role of Geospatial Technician, you’ll be trained to
support these ‘Sappers’ with accurate and

detailed mapping information gained
through geospatial intelligence.

You’ll
obtain, analyse and disseminate data from a variety of sources to provide Army
commanders with the maps they need to direct military operations and create essential
infrastructure. The tools of your geospatial trade will include 2D and 3D maps,
satellite imagery and terrain and topographical analysis.

pay you as you train. Then on completion of military and employment training
your starting salary will be at least $65,885 p.a. (including Allowances) plus

Location
Following
training in Wagga Wagga and Moorebank NSW and Puckapunyal VIC, you will be
posted to Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Puckapunyal, Sydney or Townsville.
Entry
Requirements
This
role is open to men and women aged at least 17, who have completed Year 11 with
passes in English, Mathematics and two other subjects and are Australian
Citizens (or Permanent Residents).
