• Degree
  or Diploma in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical Engineering)
• 10
  years project and construction experience with a major mining,
  construction or ECPM company

• Ensures
  adherence to Debswana Projects environmental, health and safety standards
  by all construction staff and contractors.
• Coordinates
  with the EPCM Construction Manager and ensures that the construction is
  being
• carried
  out in accordance with the scope of work and the quality and standards as
  laid out in the project design phase
• Interfaces
  with various parties and contributes to the constructability program to
  optimize engineering, procurement and construction methods.
• Ensures
  appropriate pre-construction planning, including scope of work, overall
  estimate, schedule and project execution plan.
• Manages
  on-site construction team and acts as liaison between them and on-site
  mine / operations management
• Monitors
  the performance of the Construction Contractor to ensures compliance with
  all legal and quality requirements providing formal instruction where
  necessary
• Monitors
  construction progress and acts to ensure achievement of agreed schedule
  within the financial budget.
• Initiates
  and controls variation orders on site (approval by the Project Manager)
