Job Title: Chief Security Officer (CSO)
Role Summary
The Chief Security Officer oversees and ensures overall physical and health safety people and physical property in compliance with health safety regulations.
The preferred Candidate would be responsible for:
o The development , designing and implementation of preventative security standards and procedures on the premises;
o Understanding the current and future physical risks to the school and develop strategy as necessary to respond to changing risks and threats;
o Advice on The development and execution of overall Risk Management strategy for the entire school;
o Educate employees on health and safety procedures and compliance;
o Ensuring that compliance is maintained against security policies; gathering key security metrics to demonstrate compliance;
o Manage the college’s relationship with outsourced security firm to ensure delivery of pre agreed service level deliverables.
o Directs the investigation of all security breaches and disciplinary actions related to such.
Person Specification, Skills, Qualification and work experience
o A good first degree;
o 10 or more years of experience working within the security industry with at least 5 years at a supervisory role responsible for physical and personal security;
o Extensive technical knowledge of security technology and risk assessment;
o Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills
o Excellent Communication skills.
o Professional Security certifications to practice as security personnel e.g. CPP, ASIS, MISN.
