The Client:
Working with an established professional services organization, with offices throughout the UK, this is an excellent opportunity for a Data Analyst to work closely with key clients as well as the internal team. The business itself has grown substantially over the last two years this will offer the analyst the chance to join a rapidly expanding, successful organization with plans to double in size in the coming 12/18 months.
Job Role:
The Data Analyst will be involved in the development of databases to support operational workflows, building management information reports and dashboards and helping manage new software implementation.
• Document and maintain an existing operational system
• Functionality from these systems will then be integrated into main operational database solution (undertaken by external software development firm)
• Opportunity to bring new ideas to the business, particularly around automation of manual processes
• Work with MI Manager to extract data for operational reporting
• Some travel required between Manchester and Belfast office sites (few days per month)
• Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with other key stakeholders within the business
Experience and skill set required:
Essential
• Experienced Data Analyst with strong knowledge in MS Access 2007 reporting
• Proven track record at delivering on multiple workloads to tight deadlines
• Excellent MS Excel skills
• Self-Starter with strong communication skills
• Understanding of double-entry accountancy databases would be a distinct advantage
Desirable
• Good working knowledge of SQL Server 2005
• Good knowledge of VBA
