Wage: $11.75/hour

Are you driven by cycling advocacy and want
to be part of helping a new organization get off the ground? Cycle Hamilton is
hiring a summer position (you’ll be our first paid employee!), ideally a
self-directed individual with experience in community outreach with a broad
range of abilities around organization, communication, writing, and research.
Applicants must currently be a full-time post-secondary student under 31 years
old, returning to full-time school in the fall, and eligible to work in Canada
.
Job duties will include:
  • Creating
    and distributing educational materials about Cycle Hamilton’s mission and
    safe cycling
  • Managing
    member communications and new member outreach
  • Reaching
    out to potential partners among citizen groups, government, and business
  • Liasing
    between Cycle Hamilton’s existing committees to assist on projects as
    needed
  • Representing
    Cycle Hamilton at relevant events
  • Researching
    status of cycling commitments at the municipal level
