Australia provides training systems and training services support primarily to
the Australian Department of Defence, and is a subsidiary of US Cubic
Corporation which specialises in military training simulation systems and
services globally. Cubic supports an expanding range of Australian-based
operations, providing services for Cubic’s simu
lation training systems from
offices in Townsville, Brisbane, Amberley, Newcastle and Canberra. This
position is Townsville based.
About the
Opportunity
As a key member of
the Management Team at Cubic’s Lavarack Barracks depot in Townsville, the
Senior Military Analyst is responsible for leading the Tactical Analyst team
and will combine their military expertise, customer service experience and
teamwork skills to deliver effective exercise support to client activities
under the Program.
The Person
The successful
candidate will have:
- 10+
years military experience at battle group operations level and above –
preferably in a Combat Arms Corps (sub-unit command level preferred) - Operational
analysis experience - Ability
to understand technically complex equipment and systems - Ability
to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure
customer satisfaction at all times while delivering expected business
performance - Ability
to lead teams to deliver excellent customer service in a field/remote
environment - Ability
to prioritize, complete multiple tasks, and work to deadlines - Intermediate
experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite - Eligibility
to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Industry security clearance - Experience
in the implementation, management and use of complex databases - Experience
in radio telemetry or software controlled electronics field would be well
regarded
Duties include:
- management
of personnel - customer
liaison to plan and coordinate delivery of effective exercise support - on-site
supervision of deployed training exercises - planning
and coordination of deployment of CTC-LIS assets, instrumentation and
facilities to Defence training areas, using both company and contractor
support - providing
technical leadership to the team, ensuring team technical knowledge and
skills match program requirements - Man and
operate an Analyst workstation within the Exercise Control Centre during
Exercises - Observe
and analyse exercise tactical event in conjunction with Army Observer
Trainers to facilitate the production of multimedia product After Action
Reviews - promote
Quality Systems compliance to support a pro-active, prevention-based
approach to delivery of quality outcomes
Applicants must be Australian citizens. Successful applicants must be eligible
to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Industry security clearance.
Serving members of the ADF must have declared their intention to discharge
prior to Cubic receiving their formal application.
