Small but growing civil contractor operating state wide
opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager/ Senior Project Engineer with
project m
anagement experience for a civil works project based out of
Kalgoorlie.
About the Company
Following a successful launch of their business a few years ago, they have
carved out a growing reputation with their clients (local councils, shires,
builder and main contractors). Generally specializing in earthworks, drainage,
roads, utilities, street upgrades and minor landscaping, they typically work on
projects in the $1m – $5m range.
About the Opportunity
With successful award of a project involving a $6m greenfield development in
Kalgoorlie featuring earthworks, drainage, civil works and development of a
major sporting complex for state sporting teams, there is an immediate
requirement for a Project Manager to oversee the project.
The role is Kalgoorlie based (accommodation is adjacent to the site), will be
site based including food allowance and a healthy salary for the right
individual.
In order to be successfully shortlisted for this role, you must demonstrate the
following skills and attributes:
- Be prepared to relocate and be based out of Kalgoorlie
- Have strong commercial and contractual expertise
- Strong contractor background within civil works
- Preferable candidate will be familiar working within
smaller sized projects - Must have a proactive, friendly and team orientated
attitude - Be a hands on manager and have excellent written and
verbal communications, able to interact with external stakeholders in a
professional manner. - Good level of OHS understanding and implementation
- Flexible and adaptable manner
- Prior exposure to WA civil construction projects is
essential for this role.
There is strong potential for this role to develop into an Area Manager’s role
with the establishment of a regional base out of Kalgoorlie in the medium to
long term, and the individual in this position will very much be considered for
that role.
