Location: Kigali City
Concern Worldwide Rwanda (CWR) seeks to recruit a Finance Manager who has
experience in the field of International NG0s, partnership and capacity
building.
Job Purpose: To
fill in the second layer position in finance department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Day-to-day management of Financial Activities
• Manage and support the maintenance of the CWR nominal ledger
• Preparation of quarterly Finance Reporting Packages (FRPs)
• Preparation of annual budgets & subsequent revisions including Year-end
reporting.
• Management of Donor grants and Preparation of Donor Financial reports
• Preparation for and management of annual external audit, internal and donor
audits
• Monitoring and evaluating to ensure that all CWR procedures are adhered to in
all finance activities
• Preparation, regular review and update of CWR National Finance and Accounting
manual
• Capacity building of CWR Finance staff and non-financial staff in financial
issues
• Review of financial reports, monitoring and capacity building of Implementing
Partners (local NGOs)
• Assessment and evaluation of potential Implementing Partners, where necessary
• To deputise whenever the Country Financial Controller is away.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE
AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor Degree (AO) in Finance / Accounting or related discipline
• Part-qualified or currently pursuing ACCA.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferably in a similar position.
• Experience in financial and staff management
• Computer literate with a comprehensive knowledge of MS Excel & accounts
packages
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure often to strict deadlines
• Proven attention to details
• Demonstrated experience in training and capacity building
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Proactive and able to address problems independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Rwandan Citizen
