Concern Worldwide Programme Manager Job Vacancy in Rwanda

Concern Worldwide Rwanda (CWR) seeks to recruit a Programme Manager who has experience in the field of sustainable development, partnership and capacity building.

The Food, Income and Markets Programme is implemented in partnership with between CWR and local
NGO partners. The programme strengthens the capacity of partners and provides financial and technical support to achieve the programme goal, which is: increasing the income of target beneficiaries by improving agricultural yield and development of off-farm employment through income generating activities.

Purpose: To manage the Food, Income and Markets Programme implemented in the Southern Province (Huye, Nyaruguru, Gisagara and Nyamagabe).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Managing the programme cycle: assessment, design, planning, implementation, monitoring, annual reviews and mid-term and final evaluations.
• Ensuring appropriate monitoring plan is put in place.
• Writing progress reports.
• Building strong relationships with local authorities and strengthen the capacity of local NGO partners.
• Managing staff and programme budget.
• Ensure the programme approach promotes accountability, participation & empowerment of communities and programme beneficiaries.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
– Bachelor Degree (A0) in rural development, development studies, agriculture, social sciences, or related discipline.
– Three years of working experience in a similar position.
– Experience of managing partnership and building capacity of local NGOs.
– Experience in programme development, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.
– Experience in managing staff and programme budget.
– Experience in working with communities and local authorities in planning and use of participatory approaches and tools.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE:
• Rwandan Citizen.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet.
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, with Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• A strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills.
• Highly motivated, innovative and able to use their initiative.
• Willing to learn new ways working.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
