Desktop Support Technician
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible to provide technical support and maintenance within the organization’s desktop computing environment. This includes imaging, deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining, computer equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The individual will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate manner, and provide end-user assistance as required. To interact with outsourced support team to solve computer environment related issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess diploma / degree in computer science or in a related field
Minimum 2 years position related experience in desktop support position
PC proficiency in Microsoft operating system and application software
Previous experience in a unionized environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to multi-task and work effectively against deadlines
Ability to prioritize workload and work well under pressure
Proven analytical, organizational and communication skills
Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
