The
Market Coordinator manages on-site operations of the market. It is the Market

upheld on the field and inform the Executive Director of any transgressions by
vendors, visitors and community table participants.
This
is a part time position with room to grow. We are specifically looking for a
coordinator for the Sunday market (running every Sunday through July and Aug)
but the position could also include the Wednesday and Saturday Markets for the
right candidate.

Requirements:
This
position requires a tow vehicle (to tow the stage to market on Wed and
Saturdays).

Duties:
- Coordinate
operations onsite at the market: Transport and set up stage with power and
sound system on the market site, and return to storage after market (when
necessary). - Set
up and tear down of market info table and displays, stage and sound
equipment, signs, garbage cans, bales etc. And return to storage after the
market. - Ensure
information/token sales table is managed - Distribute
information to vendors, ensure vendors know and comply with market rules. - When
rules are in breech, remind vendors of the rules and report to the
executive director - Manage
collection of donations for performers - Manage
visitors on site as needed (including their dogs) - Correct
behaviour and inform Executive Director of any rules or policies being
broken on site by vendors, visitors and community table patrons - Secure
cash and tokens

The
employee will be required to work outdoors. Appropriate clothing will be
required during all-weather situations and is the responsibility of the
employee. The employee may also be asked to work from home when necessary.

Commitment
The
market coordinator will report to and take direction from the CVFMA’s Executive
Director who is responsible to the board of directors of the CVFMA.
