REGISTERED NURSE or REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE
We have an immediate opening for a Full Time Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse to provide health care for a student body of 1000+ individuals. This position will assist in Residence and with the day-to-day clinic operations through assessment, treatment and management of our students’ health. Working with School Administration, various local clinics, and Public Health personnel, you will coordinate adolescent health education and promotion in our multi-cultural environment. We are conveniently located in downtown Hamilton.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Compassionate and Nurturing approach to patients
* Baccalaureate or Master degree in Nursing
* Certification as a Registered Nurse or a Nurse Practitioner
* Current Ontario Driver’s License
* Demonstrated experience in a community and/or Primary Care setting
* A flexible schedule is mandatory.
The successful candidate must be currently registered with the College of Nurses and have experience working with youth aged 12-20 years. Previous experience in a medical environment with multi-cultural clientele is considered an asset.
