Our
Client, Cogebanque is a leading commercial Bank in Rwanda seeking to recruit a
qualified and competent individual to fill the Chief Finance Officer position.
The
position
Reporting
to the Managing Director, the

Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will be responsible
for planning, directing and controlling the financial resources of the Bank and
ensuring sound overall financial management and performance in line with the
strategic plan. He/she will also oversee the Bank’s investment and funding
opportunities as well as the treasury portfolio and provide guidance and
oversight for the General Services & Administration function in the Bank.
The jobholder will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the
various stakeholders in line with the regulatory framework, financial reporting
standards and the Central Bank guidelines.

Qualifications
and Experience required:
  • A
    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics or
    Banking & Investment.
  • Full
    professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA
  • Master’s
    degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • At
    least 10 years’ experience in the Banking industry of which 5 years should
    be at senior management level in a Banking institution.
  • At
    least 3 years’ experience in strategic planning, treasury management and
    financial analysis.
Other
attributes:
  • Good
    understanding of the banking sector in Rwanda and in the region
  • Knowledge
    of the rules and regulations govern­ing the banking sector in Rwanda.
  • Good
    strategic planning skills.
  • Advanced
    numerical skills – statistical analysis, financial modelling and analysis
    at a high level.
  • Excellent
    written and oral communication with ability to explain complex financial
    information and trends.
  • High
    level of integrity and professionalism
  • Strong
    leadership and people management skills; ability to lead a large team
  • Excellent
    relationship building and networking skills
  • Good
    judgment and decision making skills
