City of Spruce Grove Senior Sustainability Advisor Job Vacancy in Canada

Reporting to the General Manager of Planning and Infrastructure, the
Senior Sustainability Advisor is responsible for leading the City’s
Sustainable Development Initiative. This includes strategic planning,
developing policy/programs, implementing major projects, monitoring
progress, building relationships, and directing the City’s
Sustainability section.

Responsibilities:
• Advances sustainability principles at the corporate and community level,
• Provides leadership for the City’s sustainability section,
• Implements major projects, policies and programs and acts as the
section’s primary technical resource,

Qualifications:
• Degree in environmental science/management, sustainability,
planning, or related field. A Masters is preferred,
• Minimum of three to five years experience in developing and
implementing major projects, programs, and policy, preferably within a
municipal setting,
• Experience with transit planning, waste policy, and/or energy/GHG
management is an asset,
• Possession of a valid Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operators License,
• Ability to excel with a diverse portfolio and learn quickly,
• Proven ability to build and maintain external and community relationships.
