In close collaboration with the Project
Coordinator, The Project Assistant will responsible for ensuring
effective, efficient and daily activities of “Books can open closed doors”, a
project aiming at improving the rights of children involved in domestic work a
child domestic work project.
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
·        He/she will be
responsible to support the day-to-day management of the project to ensure its
effective, efficient and cost-sensitive management.
·        Provide technical
inputs to project as requested by the project coordinator.
·        Monitor, document and
report the level of implementation of the project.
·        Ensure the
coordination of the activities of the community based children groups.
·        Coordinate with other
interveners in the CDW field to ensure the synergy and complementarity.
·        Ensure the
compilation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative project data and their
production of the report.
·       
Comply
with the requirements of CVT Child Safeguarding Policy to ensure maximum
protection for children.
CANDIDATE
PROFILE
·        More than 1 year
experience of children’s rights, child protection and/or networking is
essential.
·        Commitment to rights
based approach to programming and monitoring of the implementation of child
rights activities.
·        Familiarity with the
child labor situation in Rwanda generally and child domestic work in
particular.
·        Good English and
Kinyarwanda both written and oral communication skills
·        Good project
management skills
·        Monitoring and
evaluation skills
·        Facilitation,
negotiation, networking and advocacy skills
·        Ability to organize
and coordinate  activities within schedules and timelines
·        Computer skills
