Job Title: Chief Financial Officer Station: Kampala
Reports to: CEO
Duties and responsibilities:
– Assessing organizational performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy.
– Serving as a member of executive leadership team.
– Overseeing cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
– Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships.
– Developing and managing accounting staff.
– Managing the company’s insurance program.
– Participating in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
– Managing the company’s legal affairs in the areas of cargo claims, bankruptcies and other small claims matters.
Education & Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a minimum qualification of a BS and ACCA (completed all levels); a CPA and/or MBA would be a plus.
Experience:
– 5 years of financial experience and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organization of at least 50 staff.
– Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
