Our client is a well known global consultancy,
specialising within essential services that are critical to the economy and
highly relied upon by the community. Currently expanding its operations, the
organisation is seeking a rail systems engineer to work within its
Infrastructure team.
The Position:
As a Rail Systems Engineer you will be in charge of
developing, documenting and implementation of system and its development and
integration. This will coincide with sustainability and performance of existing
infrastructure as well as upgrades, delivery, renewals, risk and pla

nning
assessments.

You will report directly to the Divisional Manager who will provide you a
healthy mix of support and autonomy.

Key selection criteria and aspects of the role will include;

  • Requirements development and management
  • Concept generation, evaluation and selection
  • System design and design assessments
  • System verification planning and assessment
  • Understanding of Reliability Availability
    Maintainability Safety (RAMS) assessment
  • Through Life Cost modelling and assessment
  • Risk assessment (both technical and project)
The successful applicant will have substantial and
demonstrated experience as a Rail Systems Engineer / Manager of a business who
work on major rail, rolling stock and transport projects in the publicor
private sector. Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical / Electrical engineering
will be necessary as well asyour ability to think clearly and also form good
relationships with stakeholders.
