We are looking for an inspirational leader, great teacher, coach and mentor. As
the Head of Middle School reporting to the Deputy Principal – Head of Caulfield
Campus and a member of the Caulfield Campus leadership team, your leadership
and innovative approach will allow you to drive a culture of quality teaching
and learning.
Starting in 2017 and bringing a depth of experience in a similar educational
setting you will be responsible for the academic, co-curricular, pastoral and
administrative areas of the Middle School – Years 7 – 9. Working with your team
of Learning Area Leaders and Heads of House you will build a professional
learning community focused on the continuous delivery of quality learning.
An absolute commitment to maintaining and enhancing our extensive and
supportive pastoral care is critical in this role.
The successful candidate will:
• Have demonstrated experience in leading teams and working in a collegiate
manner to create a positive learning culture for students and staff
• Have the ability to motivate staff members to fully utilise their skills and
abilities to improve student-learning outcomes
• Apply contemporary knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning to
develop enthusiastic, independent learners committed to life-long learning
• Have experience in leading significant school programmes and initiatives to
create operational improvement
• Experience in the Middle Years Program and International Baccalaureate will
be highly regarded but this is not essential
• Hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting,
respectful and effective relationships with students and parents
• Have experience in organising and delivering school community-building
events.
• Display high level emotional intelligence, combined with outstanding
organisational, planning, analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
• Be collaborative and passionate, with a clearly articulated view and
understanding of education and the direction in which it is heading
