Specific
Job Responsibilities

General Administrative Duties:
  • Liaise
    with administration support staff to provide updates on anticipated
    administrative needs.
  • Manage
    day-to-day operations of project office.
  • Provide
    general administrative support to the operation of project activities.
  • Organize
    proper storage and issuance of stock, maintain stock reports and monitor
    usage.
  • Organize
    transport and distribution of project materials to project sites.
  • Maintain
    files and support the dissemination of project information among the
    project team.
  • Work
    in collaboration with operations/ facility officer to ensure proper
    running of the project office.
  • Work
    collaboratively with other project team members to ensure necessary
    project planning, resource availability and management activities function
    smoothly and efficiently.
  • Support
    program staff with request for advances and cash disbursements
Support
Project and CRS-wide meetings and activities:
  • Schedule
    and coordinate internal and external meetings, including invitations,
    meeting space, logistics, provision of materials and refreshments.
  • Support
    in drafting meeting notes and record all proceedings and share with
    meeting participants.
  • Filing
    (electronic and hard) project documents, meeting minutes and technical
    documents.
  • Maintain
    inventory of all project partner’s contact information.
  • Maintain
    project assets inventory register in collaboration with the grant unit
  • Liaise
    with the IT department on hardware and software issues to ensure

Logistics
and itineraries:
  • Ensure
    logistical support to staff/visitors including liaising with operations on

    material and cash needs to Finance and/or Administration in a timely
    manner.

Job Responsibilities
  • The
    Nutrition Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall management
    and technical direction of CRS nutrition program targeting vulnerable IDPs
    and host communities in NE Nigeria. Reporting to the Markets Program
    Manager II with accountability to the Nutrition Officers, and Nutrition
    Community Mobilizers, the Nutrition PM will undertake the following
    responsibilities related to project cycle management, technical direction,
    and program development:
Technical/Administrative,
Program Quality and Implementation:
  • Ensure
    quality and timely field level implementation of the Nutrition program
    against set objectives, targets and work plans
  • Advise
    and assist CRS nutrition team in developing project specific strategies,
    tools, systems and plans.
  • Ensure
    that nutrition programs utilize international best practices, policies and
    guidelines, in line with Ministry of Health and WHO/UNICEF
  • Oversee
    the collection and timely reporting of data and statistics for all
    nutrition programs in line with CRS guidelines and according to donor
    requirements
  • Actively
    monitor programs/projects through field visits, surveys and/or exchange of
    information with partners to assess progress, identify bottlenecks and
    take timely decisions to resolve issues and/or refer to relevant officials
    for timely resolution
Program
Development and Strategic Planning:
  • Contribute
    to and support in carrying-out the situation analysis for the nutrition
    sector to ensure timely and current data on maternal and child nutrition
    are available for the designing, development and management of nutrition
    projects.
  • Identify
    opportunities for program and proposal development in line with the CRS’s
    and donor guidelines
  • Participate
    in proposal writing and budget development processes for nutrition program
  • Lead
    technical assessments as a basis for nutrition program development when
    necessary to monitor evolving needs of the target communities and adjust
    the programmatic priorities as necessary
Capacity
Building and Supervision:
  • Ensure
    the capacity building of CRS nutrition team and partner staff through
    on-job training, technical guidance and coaching sessions while ensuring
    staff performance evaluation plans are developed

    appropriate support to the nutrition team by regular field visits and
    provide targeted technical feedback

Qualifications

  • Master’s
    Degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or related field
  • 3-5
    years of experience in nutrition program implementation with an
    international humanitarian NGO
  • Experience
    with nutrition in emergencies (CMAM, IYCF-E, data collection), preferably
    in the Nigerian context
  • Experience
    in conducting nutrition assessments (SMART, KAP surveys) and an
    understanding of nutritional information systems
  • Proven
    experience in project design and implementation, proposal-writing,

    donor support from USAID, Catholic Relief Services (CRS/Nigeria), as
    subgrantees to International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and
    in partnership with the International Crops Research Institute for the
    Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Development Derivative, Borno State
    Agricultural Development program and Adamawa State Agricultural
    Development Program will implement the Feed the Future Nigeria Integrated
    Agriculture Activity Project; a sustainable agriculture-led economic
    growth; strengthened resilience among people and systems; and a
    well-nourished population, especially among women and children in targeted
    locations of Borno and Adamawa states.

Summary
  • The
    SILC Specialist will be responsible for supporting the SILC component of
    the project in Adamawa and Borno states. S/he will also manage the SILC
    component of the project with a focus on mentoring and coaching of the
    SILC field agents and supervisors. S/he will ensure that all activities
    related to SILC in the northeast are implemented according to agreed
    standards and protocols. S/he will also provide general support to
    recovery and resilience programming in the northeast. S/he will report to
    the Agriculture and Livelihoods Adviser but maintain dotted line
    relationship with the Program Manager, Adamawa state.

    contribute to strategic thinking on SILC issues for Feed the Future
    Nigeria Integrated Agriculture Activity program implementation.

Summary
  • Under
    the direction of the Agriculture livelihoods Adviser and the Director of
    Early Recovery and Resilience, the MEAL Manager will be responsible for
    all MEAL related activities for all recovery and resilience projects
    implemented by CRS in northeast Nigeria, including, but not limited to:
    designing MEAL systems, leading SMILER processes, monitoring progress on
    project indicators, elaboration of M&E tools, conducting
    needs/market/post activity assessments, beneficiary database management,
    recalibration of beneficiary targeting at project mid-point, development
    and implementation of accountability mechanism as well as compilation of
    monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • The
    MEAL Manager will be based in Maiduguri with frequent trips to project
    areas and will report to the FTF Nigeria Integrated Agriculture Activity
    PM in Yola, working closely with the Emergency MEAL Coordinator, based in
    Maiduguri, and the Agriculture and livelihoods Adviser in Maiduguri.
Specific
Job Responsibilities

Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Design
    and manage Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning system
    through providing high-quality technical support and leading the recovery
    MEAL team
  • Facilitate
    to design and conduct of MEAL surveys including PDMs, evaluation,
    baselines and others related to the project; in close consultation with
    the recovery and resilience program and MEAL staff
  • Develop
    or adapt project specific MEAL tools and carry out field testing where
    necessary.
  • Track
    donor and CRS reporting requirements and deadlines and provide MEAL
    information to Program Managers for drafting reports.
  • Determine
    role of all actors involved in providing technical support to project
    monitoring and evaluation.
  • Ensure
    consistency of standards, harmonization of information and input from
    beneficiaries and sharing of learnings.
  • Maintain
    the project database and supervise related matters
  • Facilitate
    to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of data for project
    requirements
  • Verify
    data for completeness, correctness and consistency and follow up on any
    data/program quality issues.
  • Lead
    regular MEAL field visits to collect data with the help of partners,
    assess the application of MEAL tools, and assist in preparation of
