* Centre of Adolescent Health – Young People’s Health
Banksia Inpatient Unit:
Casual nursing staff Division One or Division Two (with medication endorsement), mental health experience and qualifications are required to work in the Banksia inpatient unit to supplement the core staffing roster. You will be working with adolescents aged between 12 – 18 years of age.
The RCH Banksia Inpatient Unit is a 12 bed mental health adolescent unit located at the Western Hospital site, Mavis Street in Footscray.
Young People’s Health Service – Adolescent Forensic Health Service:
Opportunities are also available for casual Division One – Grade 3 nursing staff with mental health experience to work within YPHS/AFHS
YPHS operates a Primary Health Care Service from 19 King Street. AFHS also operates from the Park Street, Parkville site.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Knowledge of the Mental health Act (1986)
2. Mental Health Qualification
3. Current Working With Children’s Check
4. Victorian drivers license.
5. Successful Police check
6. Experience in working with adolescents in a psychiatric inpatient unit an advantage
Candidates must hold a valid Working with Children Check and Victorian drivers license. You will also be subject to a Policy Check.
