We are currently seeking a Respite Care Assistant
with demonstrated experience working with clients with a disability or
dementia. This is a vital role that allows carers to have a break to
concentrate on their own wellbeing and know that their cared for person is in a
safe and happy environment.

As part of Carers ACT services to support carers
within the community we operate two respite centres. ‘The Cottage’ located at
Deakin providing low care day and overnight for people with de

disability. This care is provided within a home like environment.

you will hold a qualification in aged care and/or disability. You will be calm,

various shifts including weekends, evenings and overnight. All applicants must
hold a current senior first aid certificate, drivers licence and Working with
Vulnerable People Registration (WWVP). You will need to undergo
registration if you do not have this. Preferably you will also have a
certificate in disability, aged care or both.
