Gosford Private Hospital has been the largest and most comprehensive private hospital on the Central Coast for the past 30 years, and has played a pivotal role in providing quality service to the community across several generations. The hospital currently consists of 129 licensed inpatient beds, 8 operating theatres; provides general and advanced surgical services, medical / oncology, ICU, comprehensive rehabilitation service and the Central Coasts only private maternity unit.
CAREER MEDICAL OFFICER (CMO)
Gosford Private Hospital requires the services of a full time CMO to join a small CMO team to cover the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and general wards on a 24 hours shift basis.
DUTIES
Acute support of ICU & HDU patients with intensivist cover and support.
Support and review services for ward patients.
Ability to work independently, manage acute medical and surgical issues and liaise with relevant Visiting Medical Officers.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Director of Medical Services.
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years general medical / surgical hospital experience.
ICU experience and procedural competency.
Provider number preferred but not essential.
