The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) is seeking one of Canada’s foremost
RESIDENTIAL GREEN BUILDING experts as:
Residential Programs Manager
(Ottawa or Vancouver)
Canada is a global leader in green buildings, largely due to the success of
LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), known as the
international mark of excellence for green building in over 150 countries. The
Residential Programs Manager is responsible for advancing green building across
all segments of the residential sector, through LEED® and other CaGBC programs.
Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a minimum of
five years of relevant experience such as green residential design and
construction, retrofits, building performance assessment and/or residential
real estate; and, has demonstrated leadership, business planning and management
skills in motivating, leading and affecting change. Training as a Certified
Energy Advisor or Rater in the residential sector would be an asset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Business Development and Market Engagement
• Drive participation in LEED and other CaGBC programs across of the
residential sector.
• Develop and manage key industry relationships and partnerships.
• Establish and report on the annual budget, targets and objectives.
• Ensure Technical Quality of Program Delivery
• Lead the Canadian LEED for Homes Provider network.
• Oversee the project registration and certification process.
• Provide expert technical assistance with LEED Credit Interpretation Requests.
• Program Evaluation and Development
• Lead the development and implementation of improvements to the LEED rating
system for the residential sector.
• Lead the review and implementation of other CaGBC programs for the
residential sector
