Volunteer Opportunity description
The
project will support a resource centre for the blind based in Mochudi, which
provides support for the visually impaired. The centre provides independence
training including braille, orientation and mobility and vocational training in
agriculture, business studies, computer skills, etc.

The
volunteers will help the staff wit

h caring for the visually impaired clients of
the centre. The volunteers will assist in the daily physiotherapy sessions and
education of the visually impaired, gardening, sports coaching & mentoring
and general assistance to the kids. Moreover, volunteers can assist the centre
with some renovation work that is required. Spare time is usually meant for
interaction with the children, cultural exchange activities, sport and music
practice sessions. Volunteers can share and exchange different cultural forms
during the project.
