We are now looking to recruit an outstanding Senior Science Technician to join a committed department.
This is a unique opportunity to work in new laboratories and with an expanding department that offers double and triple science at GCSE, in addition to all the A level sciences. This year 90% of pupils achieved at least one science GCSE or equivalent at A*-C compared to just 38% in 2007.
Responsible for making and preparing teaching materials, the set up of experiment equipment and pupil support in lessons and line management of two science technicians; the post holder will play an important role in the department.
The school received a good judgment in its 2009 Ofsted inspection, and is now striving for outstanding. “Students arrive at their lessons expecting to work. Because teachers know their subjects well and prepare carefully, teaching is good.”

Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £23,731 – £29,058 (pro rata) per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 36 hours per week (term time only or all year round)
