Job Title: School Bursar
Reports To: Head Teacher

Job Summary:
The school’s leading support staff professional responsible for Ethics, Financial Resource Management, Information and ICT Administration, Management of Facility & Property, Health & Safety, and Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
o Provide support to the Head teacher and the Board
o Member: Senior Leadership Team, School Committee, appropriate Board sub- committees
o Finance and Accounting Strategy, management, administration & reporting
o Management of HR, ICT, Facility & Property, Health, Safety & Security
o Change management according to school development/strategic plan
o Leadership of all administrative staff (50+ colleagues)
o Financial Performance Reporting to the Board
Qualifications
o A good first degree from a reputable institution. An accountancy qualification. Holders of an MBA or Master’s degree are preferred. Professional qualifications such as CFA/ICAN/ACCA would be an advantage
o Minimum ten (10) years experience in relevant fields, four of which should have been spent in a management position
o Sound experience of financial management and budgetary planning and control
o Ability to secure funding through researching and applying for resources
o Proven knowledge and experience of human resources management
o An ability to identify, research, develop, cost and implement new initiatives
o Experience of ICT – Computer literacy at a high level of proficiency.
o Knowledge of SIMS, financial software, and Databases
o Previous experience of working in a school will be preferable.
