major inclusion programs across Eastern Australia for the Australian
Government.

Due to a new
approved structure to deliver business growth, effective risk management and
performance improvement. An exciting new role has become available for a
general manager to oversee their Governance and risk portfolio.

Big Fat Smile is
seeking an experienced General Manager for their Governance and Risk division.

The general manager
for their Governance and Risk will be reporting directly to the CEO/Managing
director.

The core
functions the General Manager for Governance and Risk will be overseeing will
be:

  • Governance
    & Legal (including General Counsel/Company Secretary services)
  • Policy
    & Compliance
  • Industrial
    Relations
  • Child
    Protection
  • Workplace
    Health & Safety.

The role would
require an individual with a legal background providing legal counsel within
NSW. You will have experience of dealing with multiple regulations, compliance
as well as work health and safety. You will be providing quality assurance
and will be clear in regards to mandates required by regulators.

Essential
Skills/Experience

Leadership,
Management & Legal

  •  Degree
    or diploma in law.
  •  Admitted
    to practice law in NSW and current practising certificate.
  •  Extensive
    experience in governance and risk assurance.
  •  Board
    or Company Secretary Experience.
  •  Highly
    developed skills in leading people, resources and projects.
  •  Proactive
    leadership style that encourages staff participation, effort and buy-in.
  •  
    High-level experience in issues management.

 Communication

  • Highly
    developed interpersonal and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated
    representational and advocacy skills.
  • Proven
    ability to listen, influence and persuade.
  •  Demonstrated
    experience in managing sensitive issues and communications.
