Location: Room & board at basecamp, Palmer Rapids (Madawaska Valley), Ontario
Boundless is a charity, an independent high school and an outdoor adventure program. We work with populations that are regarded as high need — youth at risk, adults with mental illness and people with acquired brain injuries.
Our staff and Interns are primarily Ontario Certified Teachers, Social Work students, and those interested in physical health, education, recreation and the environment. The field of study is less relevant to us than is a student’s history working with teens; their capacity to lead; facilitation skills; acumen in outdoor pursuits; and to get their hands dirty working with our clients in extraordinarily beautiful and inspiring conditions.
Winter Interns — whom we dub “Winterns” will be given room and board at our 600 basecamp in the Ottawa valley, plus a stipend of $4,000, for a term of January to March. Options would exist for a further four month placement in the Spring/Summer, beginning May 1st.
