Requirements
- Minimum
of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and/or Technology or
related field.
Experience
- At
least 8 years’ experience 3 of which should be at a management level in a
medium or large organization/business. - Good
knowledge of entrepreneurship - Good

Science and Technology Park to create an environment that supports start-ups
and existing local companies as well as attract international companies and
institutions to develop and grow competitive technology driven and knowledge

As part of our
mission to offer a unique platform for scientific, technological and indigenous
knowledge based innovation, Botswana Innovation Hub Science and Technology Park
has been strategically located on a 57 hectare site, near the Sir Seretse Khama
International airport and adjacent to the Diamond Technology Park in Gaborone,
the capital city of Botswana.
Main
Responsibilities
- Develop
and implement best practices for developing and growing businesses
throughout the maturity cycle to ensure success and sustainability in
accordance with the strategic and operational plans of the Hub. - Identify
clients for development as incubated start-ups and process applications
following the BIH due diligence process to ensure effective enrolment and
capacitation in order to advance the mission of the Hub. - Coordinate
the monitoring and evaluation of programme activities in accordance with
the Hub framework to ensure that they deliver outcomes and impacts
consistent with objectives. - Nurture
early stage businesses by providing the necessary support, including
coaching, counselling and mentoring services to ensure sustainable growth
and development. - Identify
funding courses and facilitate fund raising to finance incubated start-ups
to ensure their growth and maturity. - Design
and implements marketing materials in accordance with the BIH strategies
and programmes to ensure public exposure to programme offerings. - Build
and manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders such as the
media, educational institutions and business through communication,
publicity and public relations interventions to ensure collaborative
support for the achievement of the strategic objectives of the programme. - Facilitate
capacity building to incubated businesses by recommending the
identification and appointment of relevant business consultants, mentors,
coaches and strategic partners to ensure programme success. - Conducts
research to identify emerging needs, trends and services related to
recruitment and location of incubator clients and affiliate members. - Manage
the Centre to ensure it provides a conducive fit for purpose environment
for both employees and clients to ensure the effective implementation of
the programme. - Provide
project management support services to the adopted businesses to ensure
capacity building.
