1.1.Role Purpose
The Management accountant will be required to work with
the finance manager to evaluate the overall costs that are associated with
conducting a business school. The incumbent will be required to use the
relevant cost accounting tools to determine what type and how much expenses is involved
with maintaining the current business model
1.2.Role Requirements
•CIMA or ACCA part qualified (final stage)
•3 years minimum cost accounting experience
•Demonstrate experience of producing product
profitability analysis
•Good knowledge o fixed costs absorption and
identifying cost drivers for different classes of overhead costs.
•Excellent knowledge of measuring how wisely
company resources are being utilized
•Provision of cost accounting information to help
in product development
•Excellent ability to pay attention to detail.
2.Accounting Lectures – 3 positions
2.1.Role Purpose
To deliver dynamic courses to accountancy senior
students pursuing professional accountancy qualifications.
2.2.Role Requirements
•The candidate must be a qualified Accountant
(ACCA/CIMA) preferably with an MBA
•He/She should also have a strong interest in management
and business research with a minimum of 5 years lecturing experience in
Accounting and Finance disciplines. Te candidate must also be a registered
member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants.
•Contribute to the teaching and learning of
ACCA/CIMA higher levels
•Providing academic advice and guidance to students
3.Marketing Officer
3.1.Role Purpose
To assist the Marketing and public relations
manager in internal and external marketing. You will assist, provide, support
and coordinate the development and implementation of College Public and
strategies and other corporate communication strategies
3.2.Role Requirements
•A diploma or degree in a marketing/ public
relations or business related field
•A minimum of 3 years, proven working experience in
the marketing / public/ media relations and events management environment
•Well developed negotiation, liaison and
coordinating skills
•Knowledge of the local media scene and ability to
establish strong media network
•Ability to work independently and must have a
strong media communication skills
4.Records Officer
4.1.Role Purpose
The incumbent will establish and maintain effective
and efficient records information and administration services to both internal
and external customers
4.2.Role Requirements
•Degree/Diploma in Archives and Records Management,
or related
•3 years working experience in records and
information management
•Establishment and maintenance of BAC Resource
Center
•Organising and coordination skills
•Interpersonal and communications skills
•Attention to detail
5.Internal Auditor
5.1.Role Purpose
To safeguard and improve the college’s value by
providing high quality, innovative and results oriented internal audit services
in support of the BAC objectives
5.2.Role Requirements
•Assess and report on the appropriateness and
effectiveness of internal control processes
•Appraise and report on the effectiveness of
governance structures and processes and risk management
•Evaluate and report on compliance with existing
statutes, regulations and procedures
•Review of the relevance, adequacy and quality of
management accounts
•Undertake value for money audits.
•Review of transactions processes i.e. financial,
admissions, recruitment etc
•Liaise with external auditors on key audit issues
•Undertake special investigations as requested from
time to time by management.
6.Computing Lecturers – 5 Positions, Francistown
(4), Gaborone (1)
6.1.Role Purpose
To deliver tuition on the BSc (Hon) Computer
Systems Engineering degree programme, participate in course development,
supervise undergraduate dissertation projects and undertake some academic
administration activities as may be required
6.2.Role Requirements
•Minimum Qualifications, A masters degree and a
first degree in Computing or related field
•A minimum of 2 years lecturing experience at an
undergraduate degree level or higher with proof of scholarly activity.
6.3.Key competence areas
•Distributed Computing, Networks and
Telecommunications, Understanding of major vendors Network Technology and
Operating systems environment and platforms including Microsoft Servers
Technology, UNIX, LINUX and CIsco Technology
•Software Engineering (C#, Java and Java Oriented
Frameworks. Object Oriented Technology, and the Microsoft. Net Platform too
set)
•Internet and Web Technologies and Mobile
Application Development Platforms – J2ME and ADT
•Intelligent systems and artificial intelligence
and programming on the METLAB environment$
•Database knowledge
•Knowledge in project management, systems analysis.
Design and Development with competence in the use of MS Project
•IT governance and Management Tools, ITIL, COBIT
•A good understanding of Research-Philosophy and
Methodologies.
