Fluency in English and in editing is required. The manager will run a team of 12
reporters and editors, in locations ranging from Islamabad to Canberra, and
work with local bureau chiefs to break news on government policymaking and
underlying social-political themes.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Fluency in English
-Prior experience editing spot news under real-time deadline pressure, along
with feature writing or editing
-Minimum of seven years of experience at a major newspaper or news service
-Prior team leadership experience would be a big advantage
-Familiarity with the Bloomberg Terminal is a plus.
