Primary Schools and Blantyre Baptist Academy in Blantyre seeks the services of
a dynamic, well-qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of
Human Resources Manager at its offices at Chichiri in Blantyre.
MAIN
PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

Responsible for managing the Church’s Human Resources (HR) relationships,
developing and aligning HR solutions, and management of HR activities in the
Church and its institutions.

DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·        
HR
Planning: Aligning the HR strategy with the Church’s business strategy, and
ensuring that staff are focussed on delivering the strategy.
·        
Recruitment
and Selection – Supporting Line Management in ensuring efficient and
effective recruitment and selection of staff.
·        
Performance
Management – Guiding and coaching line management on the principles of
performance management, co-coordinating the performance appraisal process to
ensuring that efficiency is achieved.
·        
Change
Management – Supporting and facilitating change initiatives, and ensuring that
post-change evaluation occurs.
·        
Employee
Benefits – Ensuring that staff benefits are efficiently managed.
·        
Remuneration
Management – Be up-to-date with the latest information through published salary
surveys and other related sources for Church’s use, ensuring an
efficient payroll service to the Church and its institutions, monitor key HR
cost
drivers, and if necessary implementing corrective action to minimize the costs.
·        
Development
and Training of Staff — Developing annual training plan, and ensure effective
implementation.
·        
HR
Management Information System – Managing HR information services include
handling all activities necessary to capture, track, modify and report employee
related data, and periodic production of HR reports for management information
system and meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
AND EXPERIENCE
To
qualify for the position you:-
·        
Must be
an HR generalist who is able to provide leadership and balance business
strategic thinking with tactical implementation.
·        
Should
have at least a first Degree with strong leaning towards Human Resource
Management, Business Administration, or any other related field.
·        
Must have
at least five years’ hands-on experience in Human Resources
·        
Management,
and working knowledge of Labour Laws of Malawi.

be a practising Christian who is able to demonstrate Blantyre Baptist Church’s
desired leadership behaviours and have:-

MS Office
Proficiency.
·        
The drive
to continuously push boundaries of performance.
·        
Ability
to implement initiatives to improve business performance.
·        
Ability
to develop productive internal and external work relationships.
