Metals X is a
diversified resource house producing gold, tin and copper, with near term
development and growth in gold, and longer term development in nickel.
The Central
Murchison Gold Project is centrally located in the Murchison gold province,
approximately 600 km nort
heast of Perth. The Murchison Province is the current
focus of significant underground and open pit gold development activity in
Western Australia. Several projects within a 100 km radius of the CMGP are
currently in construction, commissioning and production. This position is
offered as FIFO from Perth, or residential from Meekatharra on a 9 days on 5
days off roster.
Reporting to the
General Manager and Group Financial Controller, the Mine Accountant will
possess strong analytical and problem solving skills in order to assist in the
preparation, review and reporting of Mining Budgets and Forecasting.
The Mine Accountant
will be required to:
- Accurately
prepare of the monthly management accounts and reports for the operation; - Establish
and maintain the fixed asset register for CMGP; - Lead
the budget and forecasting process; - Provide
support to the operation in terms of cost information and analysis; - Completion
of general ledger reconciliations; - Other
general accounting and commercial functions.
Qualifications,
Education & Experience: (All Essential)
- Tertiary
qualification in Accounting/Commerce (CPA/CA / CIMA / MBA) - Minimum
3 years’ experience in a Mining Accounting or financial position related
to the resources industry; - High
level of computer literacy with proven experience in Microsoft packages
and integrated accounting systems; - Ability
to communicate with all levels of business and provide exceptional
communication in both written and verbal context - Strong
organisational skills and attention to detail; - Promote
a safe, healthy and productive work environment; - Ensure
all activities are performed to the appropriate site OH&S Standards.

Must have working in
Australia rights, and currently live in Western Australia.
