IT Professional Exercise
Create a sample database in access 2003-2010, following the instructions below. When you are finished, save the access database on a flash drive or zip it and email it to jobs@barasolutions.net with the email subject DPABSS028.
Try the following SQL commands.

CREATE TABLE Customer
(firstName char(20) not null,
lastName char(20) not null,
address char(20) null,
phone char(20) null,
age int null);
Save this query, close it, and then double click on it’s icon to run it. This builds a table called Customer with five attributes. Each attribute has a type (char or int). Each attribute in a tuple is required to have a value (not null) or may be left blank (null). In the database window confirm that the table was created (click around until you find it!).

INSERT INTO Customer
VALUES (“David”, “Bahr”, null, “303-964-5147”, 15);
This inserts a row of data into the table. Note that strings are entered with quotes. Run the query, and confirm that the data is present in the table.

Do several more INSERTs with your made up data.
Save the database (in .mdb format) and close.
Job Requirements
(Technical)- Expert in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Access, Excel, power-point, Visio, Projects.
Proficient with one or more of the following programming languages- ASP.NET tools and Methodologies: ASP.NET 3.5 / VB.NET, ADO.NET, Membership, Visual Studio Debugging, Master Page development, ASP.NET Ajax, Java, Javascript, PHP; Development tools, i.e., Dreamweaver, CSS, JOOMLA.
Proficient in Database management tools- Microsoft sequel server & Visual Basics. **Understanding of share-point a plus**
Job Requirements
(Behavioral)- Ability to work alone, as well as within a team. Ability to take initiative and come up with creative ideas without prompting
Qualifications:
BA, B.Sc. or Higher (post graduate degree) in Information Systems and Technology, Management Information System, Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Additional IT certifications will be a plus.
