POSITION:
SHE MANAGER

Key Performance
Areas (duties & responsibilities):

  • Pursue
    strategies, processes and systems of safety, Health, Environment (SHE)
    throughout the organisation
  • Lead
    effective investigations of all SHE contraventions, oversee corrective
    actions and promote compliance
  • Ensure
    there are no appropriate structures and legal appointments to manage on
    site
  • Coordinate
    implementation and maintenance of SHE systems & certifications
  • Coordinate
    and prepare SHE reports for the site and the group
  • Actively
    cultivate a SHE culture throughout the organisation
  • Achieve
    SHE Objectives through active influence of strategic and operational
    management
  • Conduct
    internal SHE Audits and inspections on regular basis
  • Assist
    the mining and maintenance operations with quality assurance oversight and
    also assist in the investigation of non-conformance reports generated on
    site
  • Assist
    in rolling out Aveng Mining SHERQ campaigns on site
  • Coach
    and train SHEQ officers and SHEQ Representatives on site
  • Facilitate
    Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Workshops on site and assist
    site HODs to carryout Risk Assessments

Requirements

Academic
Qualifications

  • B Tech
    – Safety Management Qualification or other relevant tertiary qualification

Experience

  • Approximately
    6 years work experience

    safety guidelines, and deal with non-conformance
  • Ensures
