Job Tasks
• Provide code-line and release branch management
• Support and improve continuous integration, release management models and
processes
• Manage region/environment efficiency and accessibility.
• Provide back-out plans for all releases.
• Support automation for deployments, testing and environment provisioning and
maintenance. Automate manual processes or workflow that supports development
and operations
• Develop and maintain relevant technical documentation
• Ensure software being changed is traceable, secure and that only correct,
authorised and tested versions are installed.
• Adhere to and actively support change management and release management
processes.
• Develop, maintain and enhance existing software tools for Applications
monitoring in development, test and production environments
Experience & Skills
Required
• Minimum of 2 year release management experience with complex large scale IT
systems within a corporate environment
• 2 + years demonstrated development experience in Microsoft .Net or JAVA
• Hands on experience with Windows Systems Administration and/or Linux
Administration.
• Strong Software build and packaging experience
• Solid understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures of Release
Management.
• Hands on experience in codeline management supporting parallel development
environment
• Knowledge of server, network, storage, application or virtualization
technologies.
• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects
with competing demands for resources.
• Strong grasp of application development lifecycle and architecture
• Strong Microsoft .Net C# skills
• Experience with MS Visual Studio 2010, MS build scripts, ASP .Net 2.0, Java
J2SE runtime, AJAX, and WIX Installers
• Experience in .Net and Java application deployment automation
• Strong SQL Server or Oracle database knowledge
• Experience in NUnit, JUnit and/or other unit and automated testing tools
• Comfortable in one or more scripting languages – PowerShell, Python, Ruby,
Perl, Shell scripting
