The Rwanda Persons transporters Association (ATPR = Association des Transporteurs des Personnes au Rwanda) wishes to recruit for a fixed period an Accountant Secretariat whose responsibilities and profile are as follows:
1. Accounting responsibilities
– Assisting in monitoring budget execution;
– Assisting in preparing financial statements and financial reports;
– Maintaining accounting books;
– Preparing bank reconciliation statements on a monthly basis;
– Initiating requisitions for procurement and other payments;
– Managing petty cash and ensuring reporting of its transactions;
– Responsibility for safe custody of accounting books, all financial related documents and instruments;
– Initiating the reports of expenditure;
– Identifying and initiating request of funds to be submitted to the Executive Board;
– Ensuring good reception of all procured goods and services;
2. Clerical responsibilities
– Preparing and making a systematic follow-up of ATPR correspondence;
– Maintaining ATPR’s mails;
– Initiating and finalizing draft correspondences in a wide spectrum of fields as requested by ATPR;
– Managing ATPR office telephone calls;
– Arranging appointments and maintaining calendar for ATPR Officials;
– Performing any other task as requested by ATPR Officials
3. Profile and qualifications
– Minimum Secondary School in a relevant field such as accounting, Management, Secretariat or any other related field;
– Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting and secretariat (administration) field;
– Proven computer skills, proficiency in MS Office;
– Fluent spoken and written French or English with good working knowledge of the other language.
