Jonah’s
now has an exciting opening for an experienced fulltime Assistant Restaurant
Manager.
The
Role
Working
in a small and friendly team environment reporting directly to the Restaurant
Manager, this extremely hands-on position is responsible for assisting the
Restaurant Manager in the hands on, day-to-day, smooth and efficient operation
of the award winning Restaurant and Bar; including associated staff and
facilities to ensure maximum revenues and standards are achieved whilst
offering outstanding customer service and exceeding the customer’s
expectations.
Working
in conjunction with the Restaurant Manager, this position supervises, oversees
and looks for ways to continuously improve the provision of food and beverage
service in the Restaurant to ensure delivery of the highest quality product and
service at all times.
To
be considered for an interview, you will require the following:
  • A
    minimum of 2 years current experience in a similar role preferably in
    a hatted restaurant and/or award winning restaurant of similar quality and
    standards
  • Proficient
    in all aspects of restaurant, bar and function operations with extensive
    food and wine knowledge
  • Proven
    financial management capabilities with the ability to manage budgets and
    wage costs
  • Effective
    problem solving abilities
  • Excellent
    communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Supervisory
    and leadership skills
  • Experience
    in training staff
  • Ability
    to maintain a high level of service delivery even when under pressure
  • Valid
    NSW Drivers Licence and current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol
    Certificate
  • Knowledge
    of Redcat, MICROS or similar Point of Sale system would be an advantage
This
is a fulltime position requiring the applicant to work on a rotating roster,
including evenings and weekends.

The

industry and for ensuring client expectations are exceeded. You will have
excellent personal presentation, strong communication skills and your
ability to create great relationships with those you work with and our
customers will be of the highest importance. A proven track record of past
success in improving a business in key performance areas will be well regarded
along with effective time management and attention to detail.
The
successful applicant will have proven management and organisational skills,
solid financial and budgetary skills and have the ability to lead and motivate
a team. The position also requires an individual who can communicate
effectively with department heads, staff, members and suppliers and who is well
versed in human resources, staff training and development.
